More Neolithic culture
Brad leads them forward slowly for about five minutes. Shadows bounce all around from their flashlights and the only sound is their feet shuffling in the dirt.
Suddenly Brad stops. A metal gate blocks the tunnel in front of him.
On the ground is a rusty chain and broken padlock. Brad pushes the gate and it opens with a groan.
Everyone sighs with relief. They move forward again.
After a few minutes the tunnel widens into a small cavern about 3 metres square, with the ceiling just above Brad’s head.
The detectives and Laura move back to back and shine their flashlights around the space. An old bed, table and chair and other bits of furniture stand on a dirty rug.
