Mystery at Ghost Mine - Episode 12
The story so far
Megan has been kidnapped in Jeremiah’s mine. The others don’t know where she is or who took her. Panic stricken, they decided not to go back and tell Aunt Jean and Deputy Sheriff Wayne Brooks.
They agreed to go on to the second cavern marked on Jeremiah’s map, try and find the treasure and trade it to get Megs back. They hope that the treasure really does exist.
They found the second half of Jeremiah’s map in the mine, with another clue: “Those who walk to the right hand of God will follow the narrow path,” and “Greed has started this and greed will end it.” They hope this will help them find the treasure, get Megs back - and clear Jeremiah MacKenzie’s name of robbery and murder charges.
Laura thinks the kidnapper might be Bud Morgan. His ancestor Gerhard Morganheimer probably knew Jeremiah, and if Jeremiah hid treasure in his mine, Bud wants it. The detectives suspect that Bud’s brother, the gentle Elmore, is involved and possibly also Joe Whitecloud the owner of Smokey Joe’s Diner. He was cagey when shown a photograph of the Shaman’s rattle that Laura found in Jeremiah’s old store.
The detectives told no-one they were coming to Lookout Mountain to find Jeremiah's mine. Brad, Ben, Laura and Linda are determined to get Megs back themselves.
Meanwhile their friend is lying on the ground in the dark somewhere in Ghost Mine. She is alone and very scared.
