Ghost Mine Episode 9

Megan and Tillie Jackson

After dinner Megs takes the hire car and drives to Tillie Jackson’s store. It’s about 7.00 pm and getting dark.

The store is closed, but there are lights on inside and Megs can see Tillie moving around tidying up. Megs knocks on the door and calls out.

 

“Hellooo, Tillie. Sorry to disturb you. Laura said you might open up so I can buy some things.”

Tillie stops what she’s doing and comes to open the door.

	“Hi Megan. Come on in. What do you need?"
	“Sunscreen, water and food to snack on.”
	“You’ll find most of that in the gift shop. Go on through and I’ll put the light on. I’ll be in the bakery doing paperwork. There are more snack food things there so come on back when you’re ready.”
	“Thanks, that’s great.”

Megs goes through to the gift shop and starts collecting what she needs in a basket.

When she’s finished she takes another look at the picture of the demonstration that she saw on her first visit.

She is sure now that Tillie is one of the people at the front of the crowd.

After a couple of minutes she walks back towards the bakery to see what goodies she can choose in there.
