Ghost Mine Episode 8

The intruder

About two o’clock the next morning Megan wakes feeling thirsty. She pulls on a sweatshirt and shorts and walks barefoot, downstairs to the kitchen.

Pouring water from the fridge into a glass, she goes to the door overlooking the courtyard to look at the Californian night sky. Suddenly a black hooded figure appears from nowhere on the other side of the window.

Megs screams and jumps back in fright. The glass drops from her hand and smashes on the tiled floor. The figure outside shines a powerful torch into her face, blinding her temporarily, and then moves off into the darkness.

Moving fast, Megs stepts towards the door not realising she has cut her feet on the broken drink glass. She rushes into the courtyard. Suddenly lights go on in the kitchen and everyone else is there. Jean screams and Megs shouts to them to watch out for the glass on the floor.

	“Are you alright Megs? What happened?”
	“I came down to get a drink, looked outside and suddenly someone was out there watching me. I dropped the glass and then cut my feet trying to chase them.”
	“Whoever it was is gone now.”
