Dinner in the courtyard

Megan rounds up everyone then helps Aunt Jean carry the food to the table out in the courtyard.

Everyone is hungry.

 

 

 

 

 

	“I hope you like this. It’s one of my favourites.”
	“What is it?”
	“Melanzane al forno. Eggplant rolled with ricotta cheese, basil, parmesan and herbs, and baked with mozzarella and a marinara sauce.”
	“It’s vegetarian! How can we eat that? There’s no meat in it!”
	“Don’t be so rude Linda.”
	“Give it a try. You might like it. We’ve got baked potatoes and steamed beans and carrots.”

Everyone tucks in to the food and enjoys it, even Linda. As punishment for her rudeness Brad makes Linda clean up the kitchen with him while Jean plays scrabble with Ben and Laura. Megan uses Ben’s notebook to do some research. Then they all turn in for an early night.
