Ghost Mine Episode 7

Tillie and Bud Morgan

Outside the bakery Brad and Linda are jumping around teasing each other as usual, and taking up most of the space on the pavement.

Suddenly a figure steps out in front of them, blocking their path.

It’s Bud Morgan, looking angry.

 

 

	" You lot again. You're everywhere."
	“I’m sorry, Mr. Morgan. We didn’t mean to get in your way. We were just leaving.”
	“Good riddance. Sticking your noses into other folks’ business. Think you’re detectives do you? Well, there are things around here that don’t concern you, so watch out.”

Bud pushes past them and goes into the bakery. They watch him stride up to the counter and begin to argue with Tillie. She looks scared.

	“I wish we could hear what they’re saying. I’ll creep inside and hide and listen.”
	“No, Linda. Bud was right - it really isn’t any of our business. And he’s a dangerous man.”
	“We should stay out of his way, but keep an eye on both him and Mrs Jackson when we can.”

Everyone agrees, and Laura leads the detectives down the street. Whatever the problem is between Bud and Tillie, it’s none of their business. And Lookout Mountain is waiting for them.
