quietly hands the photographs back to Linda. “Can you do what
grand-dad asks?”
“We’ll do our best” promises Megan.
Linda jumpes up and down impatiently, “there’s so much we still need to know.”
“My cousin Ernie will help you”, said Danny. “He looks
after the Historical Society museum in Ballarat. He knows everything about
our history and what happened in the area. I reckon you should go there
soon. Come inside and we’ll send him an email.”
The detectives follow Danny inside his house. They are nervous and excited at the same time.
Can they do what Mowjarlai has asked of them? What if Jeremiah was involved in the warrier’s death? If he was innocent – why did he have the skull? They have to find out one way or the other, for Laura’s sake.
