Clunes
Twenty-five minutes drive north of Ballarat is Clunes – the first
Victorian gold town. There are so many historic buildings here that
the town has become popular for film shoots.
Movies shot here, include “Mad Max”, “Queen Kat, and Carmel and St. Jude”. The locals enjoy being involved in movie-making.
Clunes has a gold festival in March each year.
